Copper chain

Cedar wood has a certain steadfastness. The way it stands there, rooted and unshakable, through all the seasons. That feeling was in my mind when I made this necklace.

Each link is individually shaped and joined by hand, until the whole moves as if it has always been that way. The interlocking X-shapes give the necklace not just character, but also a pleasant weight that you immediately feel once it rests on your skin.

After more than twenty years of working with copper, I know that the most beautiful pieces do not impose themselves. They simply become part of your daily life.

People who wear copper directly on their skin, around their neck and on their chest, often tell me the same thing: they feel different than before. I make no promises about this. I only know that copper has been worn like this for thousands of years, and that people keep coming back to it.
